I bought this thinking it would be amazing and relaxing, and for 15 seconds I wasn't wrong. Then the high-pitched haunted-house style squeaking started. I took the top off of the machine and thought it may have been loose parts, but couldn't see anything wrong with it except for the fact that it kept squeaking, so I took it apart slightly and fixed the squeaking, but now the rotator piece won't stay on once the machine is on. It rotates straight off of the far rod. I am returning this machine, I hope your works out better for you.It's a neat gift for the kids who like the cool water look on their ceiling. It does not come with a electrical cord, so you will have to buy one seperately or be prepared to use batteries.I was disappointed with the projector....it did not contain all of the parts....the wave part of the machine did not work...returned product.I loved this , the waves were so realistic I want another one!I bought this lamp to enhance a large setting moon over the ocean mural. It was perfect. The lamp is silent. It does look like light reflecting off the water. The speaker is a really cool addition. I really like this little lamp and I am always thinking of other places I might use it. I will more than likely end up buying a couple more to use as mood light in the yard, on the deck or by the hot tub. It works great and the price makes me feel good about myself lol. The only thing I could say that could maybe change your mind is that it is for a smaller area, like a bedroom or bathroom. It has a timer feature which is nice unless you are like me and dont want to ever turn it off. Its a good purchase enjoy it in good health.the item works like a charm. gives great and varying water textures in blue light on the ceiling. it can be powered by outlet, usb cord or 4 AA batteries. about an 8" box, very compact and simple. has a built in speaker to play music and comes with the audio cord. only 3 buttons: volume up, down, and power. the power button turns it on but not off. just unplug it to turn it off.it says it's waterproof but a warning on the box is to avoid humidity. that seems contradictory. on the whole i'm pleased.
