Great product. Make sure you have the latest firmware as it has some cool new features.You can, amongst other things, set one SIP extension as a Page and one as a Ring. That way you can use the horn for paging (and have it automatically answer) and have a different extension that just rings (so you never miss a call).i.e. Dial 1000 - two way paging (dial the extension 1000 to page)Dial 1001 - horn just rings (add to your ring group)You can have up to 10 extensions and 10 paging extension registered. Each has their own ring tone and volume. On your PBX you could have it dial one extension during loud periods and the horn blares at full volume, and dial another extension after hours when the horn doesn't need to be so loud.I bought this for just the ringing, but found it has many many more uses.And this thing is LOUD, really LOUD! (you can adjust volume if it is too loud for your location)Set this unit up in a manufacturing environment, can easily hear all the audio over loud machinery. Connected it to 8x8 system without issue. Would love to deploy more of these, just a bit on the expensive side compared to analog units.I am finally implementing some IP paging speakers to start replacing our legacy Valcom paging system. We use a product called Syn-Apps SA-Announce along with Cisco Call Manager to provide paging and scheduled shift/break bells. This unit integrates directly with that software. All i had to do was go to the web interface for the horn once it had an ip address and add the address of our SA-Announce server under Advanced Settings/Admin.Build quality is FANTASTIC! Setup with FreePBX was a breeze. Nice and loud, sound quality is excellent. Super happy with this purchase!These horns work great Good value for the $$The horn was shipped with old firmware and failed to work right away. After contacting Support, we installed current firmware and it is working great. Good volume and clarity.Use in a auto body shop. Works well.very good
